Java is a complete programing language while on the other hand JavaScript is a client-side as well as server side scripting language which can be used with HTML.
Both the language have noting to take with each other except the fact that their names seems to be similar.
Java is a object-oriented programming (OOPS) or you may say that Java is a structured programming language such as C and C++ while JavaScript is scripting language which can be used with other language such as PHP.
Java created applications can run in a virtual machine or browser but JavaScript created application can be only run in a web browser.
So i will conclude the above points by saying that Java and JavaScript both are different from each other and used for different purpose. Don’t get confused although both them have “Java” word common in their name but they are different from each other.
